Celebrity makeup artists have a lot of tricks up their sleeve when it comes to their red carpet looks. These are some of my best kept secrets for flawless makeup.
So you’re going to start off by having your skin moisturized with your eye cream serums, whatever you choose to use and then using a loose powder. It’s very important that’s a loose powder. It can be translucent, it can be a little bit of pigment that’s fine. But you want to apply a little bit on the brush and dust it all over the skin. This also prevents the foundation from moving or breaking down under hot lights.
Apply Loose Shimmer Moisturizer
The next trick is to take a loose shimmer and apply it with a moisturizer to create a liquid bronzer for the face. This is a great little trick because it kind of creates a really soft shimmer on the skin and you can actually take that same product and use it on the legs or the arm or the chest for a little glow. On the body it’s easily blendable and you can also control the shade by how much lotion you mix in if you would apply it on the face just like you would a highlighter or a bronzer. So along with cheekbones a little on the nose down the neck and on the forehead eyes shadow primer can be used in lots of different ways. One of my best kept secrets is to use it actually around the lips this will help lock in your lip color and keep the lips from bleeding. Apply a little on a brush and trace along the outline of the lip just like you would a lip liner.
Today I’m going to be using Tom Ford lip color in firecracker. Apply it all over the lip using a brush. It will keep the lipstick from bleeding and we’ll make it last all day.
Apply Mascara With Fan Brush
My final tip that I use on a lot of celebrities is applying the mascara with a fan brush. The fan brush is great for applying mascara especially if you’re wearing individual lashes. It’s gentler on them and it keeps them from falling out. Apply it just from the tube or you can put a little on a pallet. Dip the brush in that way once you’ve got the product on your fan brush you can apply it just from the root working outward. It’s really great especially if you have lighter lashes to get really close to that root line. There you go those are my best celebrity makeup secrets.
